Friday night was beautiful, cool and overcast, my kind of weather. Due to circumstances beyond my control (I love that phrase), I arrived a little late but there was still a lot of cars and people and a very enjoyable time.
Now about that self portrait: I’m never really happy with my self portraits, mostly because of the dull subject matter, and this is no exception. But it does have some interesting color and patterns, so here it is. I normally don’t wear red tee shirts when I have to photograph but, due to circumstances beyond my control, my wardrobe adviser liked this particular one. I like it too.
The red was a must-do for the self portrait! These are terrific
Thanks, Tina. The portrait was unplanned but it looks okay I think.
Love the details here and of course your self portrait 🙂
High praise coming from a self portrait expert!
🙂
I found out on Sunday that I missed a local car show on Saturday. Glad somebody was on the ball. Love the car detail photos. Great self portrait!
Thanks, Charles. There are Cruise Nites 2 days a week, every week, less than 5 miles from my house. My Google calendar reminds me, too.
Ken, you continue to do great classic car photographs. I also have a wardrobe advisor who seems to like bright colors…perhaps they’re on to something! 😉
Thanks, Earl. I’m glad my adviser is around because I haven’t a clue about fashion. The only thing I know is not to mix a stripe with a plaid. That’s easy for me because I don’t have any plaid.
Nice car shots. And thanks for the self-portrait: now we will be able to recognize you. As long as you’re still wearing a red shirt, anyway….
Thanks, Melinda. Now you can pick me out of a line-up if you had to!
Beautiful set! I love these old classic cars. And you look just like I thought you would, only younger!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I love shooting in overcast weather conditions (also always beyond our control 😉 ).
I particularly like the door shot of the red car (although all the photos are great); the different lines and shapes really are wonderful.
Thanks, Maureen. That’s one of my favorites, too. All these cars have such interesting details and I can’t help focusing on them.
Love the way you’ve captured all the curves and shapes of the car details, and the self-portrait is pretty cool too 🙂
Thanks, JP. Some of these cars are just so cool.
. . . you look all wrinkly . . .
It’s Photoshop!
. . . riii-ght . . .
Very nice car shots. The self portrait is just what the doctor ordered for the not-so-private internet.
Thanks, ehpem. As self portraits go, I’ve seen worse.
Love those reds and I’m particularly taken with the Chevrolet grille front-on, reminds me of a multi-layered cake (I’m currently watching The Great Australian Bake-off on TV where they produce high-tier cakes…fabulous). The reds here are rich. The last abstract pic (I’m not sure it’s really you) is wonderfully seen.
Thanks, Janina. I’ve not seen the Bake-off show but there is something like it on cable here. I’m amazed at what those people can do with a cake.
Yes, it’s me. I have a notarized document to prove it.
I really like the self portrait. Very much. 🙂
Thanks, Sync.
