That is (supposedly) true . . . I’d taken a baseball bat to them anyway, just to be on the safe side of sure.

King Midas in the house! I love to see people interact with the “statues”, especially children. It’s funny to see them jump back in surprise when the statue starts moving. 🙂
The kids seem to love the “statues” and they were having fun with the kids. My policy is not to show any recognizable people in photos here but a photographer willing to stake out this location can get some great shots.
These two do look amazing. This kind of busking is common where I live and it always amazes me how they can keep still for so long, especially in the heat of summer. I sometimes give them money just to give them the opportunity to move 🙂
Thanks, Cedric. If you only work for tips, the New York State Fair is the place to do it. There were huge crowds of people at their location. I hope they’ll be back next year.
Perfect title! These ladies are so talented. Amazing to see them.
They remind me of a street performer I saw in New Orleans. He would stand for hours without moving then suddenly change to a new pose, freaking everyone out. 🙂
I’m always impressed with people who can so this. I’d be wanting to use the bathroom after 10 minutes.
Their interactions with the crowd are very entertaining. You can watch them for hours.
There’s gotta be an easier way to make a living!
It can’t be very comfortable with all that make up on. It’s definitely a talent.
How striking! But I agree with Monte and John.
I’ve not seen an act like this before but I thought they were very good.
Hopefully they are not like the Weeping Angels in Doctor Who.
(the reference, in case not familiar with them – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weeping_Angel)
I actually saw one move. It’s my understanding that you can’t see the Weeping Angeles move, so I felt relatively safe.

Thanks, Jimi. My one good title!
