There is a small marina on Irondequoit Bay that can be seen from a small public park by the roadside. Looks like some expensive floating hardware to me.
I’d say so. My brother owned a sailboat for many years and just the fees for berth fees (is that what it’s called…don’t recall for sure) were astronomical. Nice image – love the clouds!
Thanks, John. I have never had a boat so I wouldn’t know what the proper terminology is. I have a friend who spent twice as much on his boat than I paid formy car. It’s not an inexpensive hobby like photography ((;-)).
The bay waters don’t get very rough, even on some of the worst days. But three miles away is Lake Ontario, and that could be difficult even for the biggest of boats.

I was going to say… and you thought camera equipment was expensive!
Thanks, Tom. It’s a good thing I didn’t take up driving race csrs.
. . . but it looks idyllic from a distance . . .

I like very much this photo Ken but I think that having a boat is very expensive.
Thanks, Chantal. Yes, boats like these are very expensive to buy but also expensive to keep and maintain.
