Thanks, Tom. You can achieve some very nice photos when the bright sun is directly overhead.
I thought everyone knew of GORT but if you haven’t seen”The Day the Earth Stood Still”, and you like si fi, you might like it. It’s one of my favorite movies.
This is an often photographed scene but you have done a particularly nice job of it… I like the color and composition. The undulating glassy water is great.
My efforts in the past were never satisfactory. You da man.
Thanks, John. I’d like to return in the early hours of the morning or close to sundown to see what this area looks like. I’ll probably go out this winter when the lake I iced over, too.
Great combination of colours, Ken.
And, by the way, I like your new avatar. 🙂
Thanks, Ash. I shot that portrait of GORT on his visit last year.
The second picture (3360) is just great, it looks like a puzzle. Congrats!
Thanks, Fran. I could have spent hours just shooting the ever changing reflections.
Thanks, Fran. I never thought of it that way but you’re right.
Top notch ! beautiful reflections ♥
Thanks, La Tribu. I like your gravatar.
Wish I had taken that no 2 picture!
It’s a nice little road trip down there. I think you’ll like it, especially this time of year.
Great feflections Ken but I think I like the first shot best. Pictures like that make me imagine living in a boathouse – there are lots of them here.
Thanks, ehpem. I’m not surprised there are lots of boat houses. I like the look of the houses but I don’t know if I’d ever want to live in one.
Beautiful images of some fab-looking dwellings. The reflections are wonderful.
Thanks, Meanderer. They do look fab but I’ll bet they’re really cold in the winter months.
Very nice composition.
Thanks, E.
All three photos are very nice, but the light in the first photo is exceptional.
I’ll admit that I had to look up “Gort.” 😉

Very nice set, Ken – I like that first one the best I believe. Looks like a nice place to visit.
Thanks, John. It is a nice place to visit but I wouldn’t want to live there.

great post; top image is a winner.
Thanks, John. Yeah, this is beautiful area. Almost impossible to take a bad photo.
Very picturesque place and those reflections are really spectacular.
It was a surprise to me since this was not my destination for photos. Just a side trip but I’m glad I made it.
Wonderful colours, Ken!
Me like x 3!
Thanks, Malin. I hadn’t been here in years and I was very surprised by the light and color.
