I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about the newest gravatar on this site and on Facebook. You would be correct in assuming it is not a self portrait but actually a photo of our dear friend GORT. He came to visit last year and allowed this photo to be taken.
He had to stay elsewhere during his visit because he kept hitting his head on the ceiling, even in his bedroom slippers he stands over 8 feet (2.44 meters) tall. I have no idea how old he is but he seems ageless. There’s not a line on his face. I would ask him but he would just stare back at me. You don’t want him to stare at you.
He’s back patrolling the universe so who knows when he’ll visit again. Soon, I hope.

My wife says GORT is a lot more handsome than about 50% of the population, but she refused to be drawn on where I was positioned on this topic. But as I am losing my hair progressively, maybe I am moving in the right direction

You should have asked him (her?) to ‘fix’ things while they were visiting.
. . . we might be gone by the times he comes back.
