We have about 2 feet of snow on the ground and we’re a long way from seeing tulips in the garden so I thought someone would appreciate a little color in their day.

I appreciate it… The colours, not the snow. 😉 Wonderful images, Ken!
The days are getting longer in Sweden and there’s spring in the air.
Thanks, Malin. Our days are noticeable longer, too, but there is no sign of spring. We have over 2 feet of snow on the ground, making spring only a dream.
We’re having a period of warm weather (near 70 yesterday, and in the 50s and 60s for the coming week) . . . I fear some of my bulbs will get the wrong idea and come up to see what’s going on.
Nice shot . . . including the macro in the other blog.
Thanks E. We don’t grow tulips because the deer find them delicious. They bite the flower off and leave the stems. Then they don’t look so nice in the garden.
Garden supply stores sell products that supposedly keep deer away but I don’t think they really work and I really don’t mind seeing the deer in the yard.

We still have a lot of snow… but not as much as over 2 feet.
And remember this;
‘You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep Spring from coming.’ (Pablo Neruda)
Beautiful!
Thanks, Monte.
Beautiful lighting on this one. Spring can’t come soon enough for me….the tulip makes it seem attainable!
Thanks, Howard. I feel the same. That’s why we indulge ourselves with flowers this time of year.
Yes….it won’t be long now (he said as the weather forecast calls for zero degrees this weekend)!

Same thing happening to us ! Our daffodils have taken the bait, unfortunately.

Lovely, Ken. Those colours are certainly welcome!
Thanks, Meanderer. It’s hard to find color like this outside this time of year in NY.
they will come …. be patient
Thanks, Nelson.
