Alert readers may have noticed each of these photos have the same ID number.  That’s because they are all separate sections of the same file.  Stay warm!

I have a way of putting my foot in my mouth (in writing, sometimes). Please accept my sincere apologies for my ignorance. The remark really didn’t apply to you because you’re so cool.

Love these frozen abstracts of yours. It is finally above freezing here and we are getting a bit of a melt. The worst may be over….I hope. Hope you are getting a slight rise in temps wherever you are as well!

Thanks, Howard. We’ve had 2 days with above freezing temperature and it does feel good. I’m happy with a slow warmup. We have a lot of snow to melt and it’s best if it melts slowly.

Still frozen solid, I see. What a bizarre winter it has been for the North American continent – the western side unusually warm and threatened with drought, and the eastern half enduring one of the coldest winters on record with snowfall to match.

Thanks, Andy. It’s official – we had the worst February in history with record cold temperatures and high snow fall. We’re starting to see some relief this week.

    These are Cosmic!
As to the weather there was a time when some would call it (and just about anything else) “far out”. Which is pretty much the same thing as cosmic. You must be relieved to be on the backside of winter now. Is backside a planetary term?
Good on you for making the most of it with great photos! I would be tempted to crawl into bed with a stack of books for a few months.

Thanks, ehpem. Yes, today we may reach 70° (F), the warmest it’s been in many months. I love this time of year because I get the chance to work in the gargenerally don’t mind winter but the past 2 winters have been cruel. I try to use the long nights to work on some indoor projects so it’s actually not too bad.
In my previous lifetime I had to write a lot of reports so I never used pop culture expressions, especially “far out”.
