Winter’s grip has still not loosened (from the look if it) – Magnificent vista and the contrails add interest to the sky
Thanks, Andy. This was shot a few months ago. We have been slowly warming up each day and most of the snow has either melted or evaporated. It’s beginning to feel like spring.
I am so glad the ice has melted, but you’re right, it was fun while it lasted. Love the sky in this too. 🙂
Thanks, Jimi. I combined my love of ice and contrails in this one.
Love this, Ken—that tiny bit of reflected orange does so much!
Thanks, Linda. I don’t think it would be at all interesting without the orange. They tell me it’s the new black.
Love the shot but……ice and fun together in one sentence…..really?? Very cool image!
Thanks, Howard. I was using poetic licence when I wrote that part about ice and fun.
Ok then….just doing a sanity check LOL!
Beautiful colors, Ken. But it still looks too cold for me!
Thanks, Tom. Hot, warm cold – it’s all relative.
For the times they are a-changin’… 🙂
Wonderful image, Ken! I love the colours and the lines in the sky.
Thanks, Malin. These are the skies of our times.
I can watch at this sunset and the plane trails forever… very beautiful!!
Thanks, Alexandra. My Air Force days gave me an appreciation for contrails.
I just learnt a new word in English…contrails 😊 were you a pilot?
No. More like air traffic controller. It’s like flying 200 planes, all at one time.
