Though I haven’t posted any photos from this project, I have not abandoned the cosmic concrete photos. It’s just that most of it has been buried under ice and snow for so long that I haven’t had a chance to photograph any of it.
Very cool project as I love abstracts! Did you see in LensWork recently there was a black and white portfolio not of parking lot abstracts but of photos taken at parking lots? Are those Venutian cities with protective yellow heat covers down there lol!!??
I’m going to have to check out LensWork’s folio. I missed it completely. But the idea of doing this series in black and white might be of interest. I’m looking for some new projects.
That might be interesting, though the colors really stand out against the black asphalt. The LensWork thing was very different it was non-abstract. I think the abstracts in what we walk on is far more interesting actually. At one point I started doing some of sidewalk cracks….never really worked on it yet though.
These kinds of projects are great because you can add to them whenever the mood strikes. Of course it helps when the ground is not covered in snow. Nice one, Ken!
Thanks, Tom. I do have a soft spot in my head for this particular project, so much so that it has expanded to other objects. After working on this for years I still would like to remain open minded about it.
The Hubble has nothing on you.
Except 400,000,000 miles. Thanks, Barry.
Well, if you are counting.

I’d be interested to seek the “cracks” portfolio.

Is that paint or lichen?
Lichen!
Endlessly fascinating, lichen.
If only we could get as close to the Universe as the one you found 😉
Really lovely this is !
Thanks, poppytump.
