The bay, at this point, is only about 300 yards to the other side. The fog was heavy but starting to disipate. You’re right, without the fog, everything just merges together. .
Ken, this is beautiful… so peaceful… love the fog and those reflections of the trees in the water… it’s almost like a painting… and nature is the best artist, isnt it… love how you have captured it!!
I like the feeling I have when I look at this, a kind of serenity. It has something to do with the colors and probably the more-than-usual horizontality. I’ve looked at this photograph longer than I do at most. Just lovely.
Thanks, Linda. we don’t get many foggy days and I was a little upset that I wouldn’t be able to get any shots because I was on my way to work. Fortunately, it was still foggy when I got out so I tried to make the most of it.
Thanks, Howard. I remember a few years ago when I had my regular job, I woke up to this type of fog. I grabbed my camera as I was putting down the phone to call in a vacation day. I hate to miss these rare occasions.
Beautiful, Ken.
Thanks, Ash.
I’m guessing that if the far side of this bay was clear, the significance of that little promontory would be lost – merged into the distant view.

Thanks, Alexandra. I love to photograph in the fog. It simplifies even complicated landscapes.

So beautiful!
Thanks, MH.
Mmmm….my kinda place! Wonderful, Ken.
Thanks, Janina. On the other side of the road from this bay is Lake Ontario, too.
It doesn’t get any better than fog…….love it!

I love how fog introduces a certain mood and mystery to photographs. Nice one, Ken.
Thanks, Jimi. Fog just simplifies everything. Who needs detail.
