Thanks, Ash. The truck (first shot) is what is known as a rat rod where all the mechanicals are ready for the race track but the exterior is not restored at all. They’re very popular here.
Thanks, Howard. Now I think I’ll buy a trumpet. Ever notice that when a trumpet player enters a room that he is automatically the coolest guy there? Unless there is a saxophonist there first.
Well, there’s also that shininess of the reflector in the first photo that goes with the shininess of the car body in the second oneβI think that helps tie them together.
Very cool individually and such a cool contrast when together.

Rat rod! Oh, I like that name and the very
. . . idea. π
I love this entire series sir and anticipate “coolness” everyday.
Thanks, Barry. I’m working on the”coolness” thing.
You have definitely reached the coolness! They look like eyes staring at you!!

Or an upright bass. They’re pretty cool….
Wish I could think of something to say besides ooooooooooo ahhhhhhhhh. Love them both, and the pairing is interesting.
Thanks, Linda. Color was my only criteria for matching these two photos up. I think that’s all you need.

I’ll take #2!
They’re not, of course, but you could almost title one “Before” and the other “After.” Or vice versa! π
Thanks, Tom. I’d take #2 also but the first truck has some pretty sophisticated mechanicals and looks like a lot of fun to drive.
Love these two together.
Thanks, Anita.
Seeing red again?
I should have used that for a title.
