Love the shot. Great background. What is that eastern phrase ‘wabi-sabi’. I’m sure I got it wrong! Beauty in the imperfections. I love that there are imperfections in the center of the flower
Nice, and a bit envious. Since our cone flowers got damaged a few winters ago (actually, late spring), the plants have been producing pitifully misshapen flowers that are not worth photographing. I miss the macro opportunities these flowers used to produce.
I haven’t had any luck with them, either. I shot this at the arboretum where they are tended to by folks that know what they’re doing. But I will try again next year.

Lovely image, Ken. Wabi-sabi is correct Howard!
Thanks John. I knew it was at least close but I was feeling too lazy to look it up!
Very nice, Ken. Better be careful or you might get accused of being a nature photographer. 😉
Thanks, Tom. I’ve been called worse things than that.

Ah, ya spoiled for me, Ken. I thought that this fine sample was from your back yard. 🙂
Sorry, Paul. Perennial flowers are stage 4 in my landscaping plans. I’m on stage 2 right now.
