Everything put together

Sooner or later falls apart   …Paul Simon

Paul was referring to my computer in that song.  Also my water heater.  Both died within minuets of each other. That was Friday, 9/11/15.  The good news is that the water heater was replaced the following Monday.  Bad news is it’s going to be a while before a new computer arrives and even longer to set up.  Weeks!  But I’m determined to keep my usual twice weekly posts here and our sister blog using whatever means possible.  This week there are shots made with the Samsung 7 inch tablet and posted on an Acer Chromebook for your amusement.  I hope you like photos of cats.

I work with a Mac at the Museum but all my personal software is PC based and it would be expensive to replace all of it. Also, I have some hardware, like the monitor and calibration device that are better hooked to a PC than a Mac. I didn’t even entertain a thought on Macs.

Thanks, Howard. We’ll see if Emo can come up with some interesting poses during the coming weeks. He sleeps 23 hours each day so catching him with his eyes open will be a challenge.

Funny that I was just reading Paul Maxim’s post about his computer giving up the ghost. Hopefully his water heater is OK though. So after all that work getting your monitor calibrated now it only shows pictures of cats? At least they aren’t yellow cats. Definitely time for some new hardware, I think!

Thanks, Tom. I can’t calibrate the monitor on the Chromebook but it’s seems fine for now. I’ll have to see how much flexibility I’ll have with it but I have high hopes.

Sorry but I did laugh at your circumstances. Although I’ve experienced the same situation in my life. Not only do we have to deal with the frustration but there is a financial cost involved. Good luck on the computer. I like cats.

Thanks, PT. I’m in my third week without a desktop but I’ve been managing fine. Editing is a problem but the net book runs Lightroom 3 (slowly).
