We paid a visit to a beautiful town located in the northern part of the Finger Lakes area named Seneca Falls. Some say this town is the inspiration for Bedford Falls in the Frank Capra 1946 film “It’s a Wonderful Life”. I’m sure you won’t find any residents that disagree.

I love these old towns with small stores. Love your shots of the windows.
Thanks, Jane. I love them, too.
Me too. Love little towns with cool eclectic shops. Not malls.
Also love that woman on the job sign!
Thanks, Howard. You would love Seneca Falls. We had an unusually warm February day when we visited. That made it even better.
Seneca Falls is the home of Women’s Rights and they have a National Historic Park dedicated to it.
I didn’t know that. Sounds like a very cool place. My neighborhood has a little ‘downtown’ within the city and what I like best is that there are still small shops and people walk…though some of those shops have been lost to a nearby mall and one of our two movie theaters has closed because of the nearby multi-plex.
If you’re ever in the Finger Lakes area visit Seneca Falls. I know you’ll have a great time.
