Well, the walnut story goes back a long way. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, I had an assignment to shoot “food” for a photography course. I was poor and couldn’t afford “food” but I did have enough for a bag of walnuts (in the shell). I spent the better part of a day going through the walnuts before I found the perfect one. I shot that walnut six ways from Sunday but I got a shot that gave me an “A” for the assignment. I’ve been grateful to walnuts ever since. True story!
Thanks, Jane. This shot is a reminder to myself that even common, ordinary things can be good subjects to shoot when I run out of ideas. Maybe it’ss inspire others, too.
This lovely, curvy, onion looks like it would never make anyone’s eyes water. Just too well-behaved. Beautiful. And i can’t imagine you would ever have to remind yourself of the beauty of the quotidian, but I am happy to see your reminders, just the same. Very happy in fact.
. . . it done brought tears to my eyes, it did . . .
But tears of joy, I hope.
Just awesome. Onion #33?
More like “Onion #433. I like onions. Thanks, Howard.
So glad you like onions. This is so delicate.
Thanks, Linda. Wait’ll you see my walnuts!
What is it with guys? . . . always bragging about their walnuts . . .
Now, Brazil nuts, I understand.
