Thanks, Howard. On the second shot, the hood was open all the way and I was able to get this perspective without standing on the roof of the car. Owners frown on that (don’t ask me how I know).
I like the second one very much, I think because all that texture is the opposite of what that piece is supposed to be.Plus you captured it to well, and the colors are beautiful! You can see I”m way behind in the blogging world! Will I catch up??? (Are you enjoying the Oly?)
After all your travels, it’s understandable that you may find yourself behind on other things. Thanks, Lynn. The car in the second photo is in the early stages of being restored. I don’t think the owner is in any rush to get it finished. It’s getting a lot of attention at the shows, he tells me.
I love shooting with the Oly. This camera has put fun into shooting again for me. It’s my main camera now except for shooting at the Museum. The Nikon is still the best for the type of shots they require and in addition, I have the macro lens for it (which they don’t have for their Canon).
Excellent!
Thanks, E.
Ahhhh. Hood ornaments – love ’em!
Thanks, Tom. I do, too.
Both cool. Love the glow on the first. And the second one feels like you are looking at a flying airplane from above.

Superb particularly the second shot
Thanks, SP. The second car will be stunning when it’s finished.
I miss hood ornaments. I always enjoyed them. The way you capture them makes me miss them more.
I miss them, too, AJ. Especially the ’50s rockets. They were more sleek and graceful than the cars themselves.
Take off! Nice.
Thanks, John. Good to hear from you. You might want to stay away from Webster for another month until the weather warms up.
Really cool, both of them. The top image is extraordinary.
Thanks, John. The hood was open on this car and it was just luck that I saw the ornament in the air like that.
