Fine series, Ken!
Thanks, Harri.
What a great gallery of images 🙂
Have a great weekend (when it arrives…)
Thanks, PC. Have a great weekend, too!
It looks like a cold but enjoyable walk, represented by a nice series of images.
Thanks, David. It was about 21°F when I was out. Cold, but no wind chill. Overcast skies = no harsh shadows, too.
Fantastic series! I told myself I would go shoot when it snows this winter. Lucky for ma it hasn’t snowed significantly here yet lol. Really wonderful photos.
Thanks, Howard. Most of the snow in the park is gone now so I think the timing is a critical factor in getting the photos.
Nice series.
I always found shooting snow-covered landscapes and trees difficult because the finished product — while good — still doesn’t measure up to the experience of seeing it in person. I mean, it never does for anything, but with snow, there always seems as if something is missing.
. . . perhaps if photos could capture stillness and quiet . . .
I don’t think any photo is quite like seeing something in person, especially winter scenes. You don’t sense the cold or see your breath.
What fun…I do have some favorites but I’m struggling to point them out. Maybe no matter. I’ll try – the two that are above & below the curving path going into the woods, on the right – maybe #13 & #15 – I like those abstract branches and snow images. 🙂 Of course, I love them all. Thank you Ken.
Thanks, Lynn. I did away with captions on these only because I didn’t feel the need for them. I’m glad you like these. I didn’t have much time to shoot as it was close to getting dark. I went back later but most of the snow was gone. That’s ok. There will be more snow I’m sure.
What a gorgeous series! Even if it made me shiver a bit and wish I could still do those walk I used to manage. Your amazing images brought it all back for me. Thank you.
I have missed seeing your wonderful work recently. My bad. I hope you both are well.
Thanks, AJ, and we are well. If you ever find your way up north here, this would be an easy walk. I would know because I like easy walks. This was the first time I’ve been there in the winter and it’s only a mile from home.
