I’ve always had a great admiration for wildlife/bird photographers. The best ones know their subjects and use their skills to capture beautiful images of scenes we would otherwise never see. I paid this bird $5 in seed to pose for me.

Your Messenger Pigeon photograph is worth every penny. Or seed.
Thanks, Linda. This photograph represents the pinnacle of my wildlife photography.
Clever composition . . . never heard of messenger gulls before, but I suspect they work for scraps.
Thanks, E. I shot this on the pier at Canandaigua Lake last week. We stop there for lunch once in a while and the gulls are very friendly while you eat. If you’re not eating, they pretty much leave you alone. When not posing for photos, the gulls enjoy spotting cars in the parking lot.
Sparrows also get really friendly when we’re outdoor dining . . . and share the same entertainment interests.
I had to read about “the chosen spot” as I’d never heard of it before, but then I don’t know much about the Finger Lakes.
You def got your money’s worth!
Thanks, Howard. I hope the bird was just as happy as I was.
You sure it wasn’t fish guts?
I don’t know now. I, myself, am on a fish guts-free diet.
🐬🦈! Of course!
